“I’m driving a bus back here!”

These were the words exclaimed by a drummer who had been tasked with both keeping the band together on stage by playing their instrument, and also operating tracks in Ableton from their SPD-SX when I was in rehearsals some years ago.

Hopefully this device will make it a little easier to keep that bus on the road.

• Drag and drop: place the SPD-SX Translator in front of Conductor and you’re all set.

• No changes to the factory settings of the SPD-SX or MIDI mapping is required.

Requirements:

The SPD-SX Translator requires a Roland SPD-SX and a copy of Conductor to function. In addition Live 10 or 11 Suite, or Live 10 or 11 Standard with Max for Live, must be installed.

The minimum supported release of Live is 10.1.43.

The minimum supported release of Max is 8.3.1.

We recommend always running the latest release of Max.
